Pula falls from the sky
This weekend, 28 October 2011, saw the first real rains break in Gaborone and how welcome they are after a heatwave of a week with temperatures peaking over 40 degrees C. In Setswana, the word Pula means rain and it is no coincidence that the currency is also called Pula, for in an arid country like Botswana, rain is supreme.
